Interested in joining the Editorial Board of JFS or CRFSFS?

Editorial Board Members at Large serve as primary reviewers and should have a history of providing timely, detailed, constructively critical reviews for the journal. If you have not reviewed for IFT’s journals yet, please apply to serve as a peer reviewer instead.

Editorial Board members at large may be promoted to Associate Editors when positions open, and Associate Editors may be promoted to Scientific Editors when positions open. View our current Editorial Boards and learn more about their structure and role responsibilities here:

JFS Editorial Board

CRFSFS Editorial Board

The Editor in Chief of the journal will review your application and CV. New Editorial Board Members at Large are appointed based on the journal’s expertise needs and on your history of reviewing for the journal, with demographic considerations secondary. Appointments are typically made in late November or early December for terms starting on January 1st of the next calendar year, but appointments are occasionally made as needed at any time.

We will keep your application on file for three (3) annual appointment cycles. It may take more than a year for an expertise gap in your area to open. We highly recommend accepting invitations to review and submitting thorough, constructive and critical comments on time to improve your chances of being appointed to the editorial board.
