Interested in serving as a journals reviewer?

Reviewers are the cornerstone of journals publishing. Our journals editors rely on volunteers with demonstrated expertise across the full spectrum of the science of food, from around the world, to provide critical feedback on manuscript submissions.

Before completing this form, please review the information about reviewing manuscript submissions for IFT’s Scientific Journals, including requirements and details of our peer-review process, here: Reviewer Resources - IFT.org

If you have not had formal reviewer training or mentorship, we highly recommend taking a reviewer training course online. Several free courses are linked on the Reviewer Resources page.

You will need an account on our ScholarOne Manuscripts portal to serve as a reviewer. Be sure to add appropriate keywords and areas of expertise to your account, as editors use these terms to match manuscripts to potential reviewers.

Interested in joining the Editorial Board of JFS or CRFSFS?

Editorial Board members at large serve as primary reviewers and should have a history of providing detailed, constructively critical reviews. Editorial Board members at large may be promoted to Associate Editors when positions open, and Associate Editors may be promoted to Scientific Editors when positions open.
