IFT’s new, fundamentals in food traceability course will help you evaluate the effectiveness of your company’s existing traceability plans and/or create new ones. The traceability plan helps you map out the digitization of your supply chain, regardless of technology, and will allow you to evaluate and consider the inclusion of blockchain, IoT, and data analytics in traceability.
The FDA’s food traceability proposed rule will establish additional traceability recordkeeping requirements for certain foods. IFT's online course, Demystifying Traceability, enables you to build your own enhanced traceability plan similar to a food safety plan, with embedded Key Data Elements and Critical Tracking Events. It includes the following:
- risk analyses (product and process risks)
- vulnerability assessments (for traceability)
- consequence management (for impact)
At the end of the course, you will be guided though the Traceability Playbook. This will take you step-by-step in building a customized traceability plan for your company.
